About Dr. K. Ray

Dr. KaShanda Ray is a Licensed Professional Counselor serving clients in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas, and Washington. With more than 20 years of counseling experience, she has helped teens and adults navigate depression, anxiety, life transitions, stress, and adjustment challenges.

Throughout her career, Dr. Ray has worked in both community mental health and higher education, providing counseling and guidance to students on two-year and four-year college campuses. These diverse experiences have given her a deep understanding of the emotional challenges people face at every stage of life.

Dr. Ray earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Mobile, her Master of Science in Community Counseling from the University of South Alabama, and her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. Her counseling approach is personalized, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. She incorporates Strengths-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients build resilience, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. Sessions may include thoughtful conversation, skill-building, and therapeutic exercises tailored to each client's unique goals.
